Changes to UCSF listservs Notice to Owners

Subject: Changes to UCSF listservs

UCSF Listserv Owners:

As announced on October 5, to ensure appropriate use and reduce unwanted email the Office of Academic and Administrative Information Systems (OAAIS) has established guidelines and requirements for listservs hosted by OAAIS. 

Implementation of these guidelines will be on November 20, 2007, and further documentation can be found at http://oaais.ucsf.edu/OAAIS/16.

You are receiving this notification because one or more of your listservs does not meet these requirements.  This is for information purposes only and no action by you is necessary. 

OAAIS will automatically make system changes to set the following parameters; listserv owners are required to leave these changes in place:

    Under Listserv Owner Responsibilities
        -  “Send=Confirm” feature
        -  “Auto-Delete=” feature

    Under Listserv Activity
        -  One or more valid (non-SPAM) postings within any 12-month period (“Change-Log=” feature)
