Tips for navigating the new List Management Web Interface
The v15.0 List Management Web Interface looks very different from the interface for v14.5 and all previous versions. Here are some tips to help you get acclimated to the new interface:
- Because of the server migration, you will have to request a new password prior to logging in. You may use the same password used with v14.5 on the old ITSSRV1 server.
- Upon login, you will be brought to the List Management Dashboard. Although it looks different, this is the same List Management main page that you would see when logging into v14.5.
- The default setting for this page is Tutorial Mode. You can switch this and other settings at any time by clicking on the 'Preferences' link located in the top right corner.
- Many of the tables within the Web Interface may be customized by the Owner.
- Select the listserv you want to manage from the 'Select List' box and then click the 'Update' button to the right. The selected listserv name will appear in parentheses ( ) next to the List Management Dashboard heading to let you know which list you are managing.
- The links above the List Management Dashboard heading replace the management buttons used in v14.5.
- The former Configuration button is now 'Manual List Configuration'.
- The former Subscribers and Bulk buttons are now combined under 'Subscriber Management'.
- The former Templates button is now split into 'Web Templates' and 'Mail Templates'.
- The former Reports button is now split into 'List Reports', 'Subscriber Reports' and 'List Activity Reports'.
- The former Commands button is now 'LISTSERV Commands'.
- The former Moderation button is now 'List Moderation' located on the header above the other links listed above.
- Use the Technical Support window to report questions or problems to the UCSF Listserv administrators within OAAIS.
- Listserv v15.0 has a lot of great features. Be sure to explore and test drive them. Enjoy!
