On Friday, March 21, 2008, the Department of Surgery will join the Medical Center domain and become part of the UCSF Exchange partnership.
Although mail flow will not be interrupted, Department of Surgery employees will not appear in the global address list, nor in distribution groups, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Department of Surgery recipients will also not receive messages sent to distribution lists during this time.
To send an email message to someone in the Department of Surgery during this period, you will need to manually enter their email address.
After this time period it is possible old contact list and “auto-complete” entries you have for Surgery recipients might not function correctly. In the event you experience problems sending mail to these recipients, please re-select the recipient from the global address list and resend the message.
