Security Update: Apple iPhone v2.1

Apple has released security update APPLE-SA-2008-09-12 iPhone v2.1 to announce the release of security enhancements to protect all users against multiple vulnerabilities; the most serious of which may result in arbitrary code execution, unexpected application termination and/or lead to TCP spoofing or session hijacking.  

For a complete description of the security enhancements, refer to Apple's About the security content of iPhone v2.1 .

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO PROTECT YOUR SYSTEM:

  1. Select General
  2. Select About.  The version after applying this update will be "2.1 (5F136)" or later
