Entourage 2004 - Web Proxy Configuration
Step 4 The Exchange Server field information has been updated to reflect new configuration settings for connecting to Exchange 2007.**
Desktop requirements
- Mac OS 10.2.8 or later
- Entourage 2004 for Mac (part of the MS Office 2004 for Mac software suite)
Configuration Recommendations
- Allows connection from outside UCSF network without a VPN connection
- Provides HIPAA compliant secure connection
- Provides access to e-mail, calendaring/scheduling and limited access to the Global Address Book (available when on teh UCSF network)
- Contacts and Calendar items are synchronized with the mail@UCSF server
- Initial synchronization of your mail account vary depending on the amount of mail in your account
- Using Entourage after the initial synchronization will not take as long
- Try performing initial synchronization on campus using a wired or wireless connection
- Recommended for DSL or cable modem connections only
- Not recommended for dialup connections; use Outlook Web Access for dialup connections
Setting up Entourage 2004 Web Proxy Connection
- Launch Entourage. Go to the Tools menu and select
Accounts.

- Click the Down Arrow next to New and
select Exchange....

- Click the "Configure account manually" button in the lower
left-hand corner of the Account Setup Assitant window.

- On the Account Settings tab, enter your information into
the following fields:
- Account Name: This is a display field to identify your UCSF email account within Entourage
- Name: Enter your name as you want it to appear to others into this field
- E-mail address: Enter your mail@UCSF reply-to email address in this field
- Account ID: Enter your email account username into the field
- Domain: Enter campus into this field
- Password: Entering your password is and saving it in the Mac OS keychain is optional.
- **Exchange Server: Enter exchange.ucsf.edu/exchange/firstname.lastname@ucsf.edu into this field (Information in this field has been reformatted Exchange 2007. Use of departmentally specific reply-to email addresses requires the fully qualified path where firstname.lastname in the default email address for the customer's account.)
- Check the box next to This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)

- Click the Advanced tab and enter your information for the
Public folders and LDAP servers.
- Public folders server: Enter exchange.ucsf.edu/public/ Check the box next to "This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)"
- LDAP server: Enter campus03.campus.net.ucsf.edu Check the box next to "This server requires me to log on"

- You have completed the account configuration. Click the OK button.
