SSL Renewal Process

The process for requesting server certificates at UCSF is unique between UCSF and Entrust. Therefore, when your current web server certificate is due to expire, a new certificate request will need to be processed as outlined in the Web Server Certificate Request process. Expiring certificates will not be renewed. The process of obtaining a new web server certificate for an expiring certificate is outlined below.

  1. Entrust will send an email advising that your server certificate is expiring with contact information for OAAIS Enterprise Information Security.
  2. Contact OAAIS Enterprise Information Security (EIS) to request a new server certificate.
  3. Refer to the Web Server Certificate Request process to continue.
