NGMAN Update (Jeff Fritz)

Jeff explained the project is a bit behind schedule but on track as far as milestones are concerned. A communications plan is being developed for the project.

ACTION ITEM: Jeff will present a timeline at the next CIO Group meeting.

Data Center (Andrew Wissmiller)

Andrew discussed plans for the new data center and for data center services such as server provisioning, shared storage, database hosting, etc. OAAIS plans to occupy the new facility in early 2009.

ACTION ITEM: Andrew will bring a business plan to the CIO Group for review, and will work with Opinder on its development.

ACTION ITEM: Jon, Randy, Andrew, Opinder and Michael will set up a meeting with the Budget Office to discuss financial planning for the move.

MyAccess (Andrew Wissmiller)

Andrew distributed an updated MyAccess project team organization chart and a preliminary project plan, as requested by the CIO’s in February.

Updates

Data and Voice Services Advisory Committee (Randy): The committee has completed and forwarded its recommendations to Senior Vice Chancellor Barclay.

Collaborative Learning Environment (Karen): WebCT will be replaced with Moodle. There will be pilot courses this fall.

ACTION ITEM: Karen will provide Ami with a handout to distribute to the group.

Telemedicine (Opinder): Planning is underway in collaboration with ENS, the Business Office and even City Hall.

ACTION ITEM: Opinder will bring a presentation and the cost spreadsheet to the next CIO Group meeting. Karen will bring plans for the second floor of the Library.
